The Orrcon Steel V8 Tipping Competition is back for 2011
he Orrcon Steel V8 Supercar Tipping Competition is back bigger and better for 2011.
Now in its fourth year, the competition has changed the way people in the steel industry look at tipping competitions and provides the ammunition for plenty of banter within offices and warehouses across the country.
In 2011, Orrcon Steel staff and customers will have the opportunity to win some great event prizes and an end of season winners prize, along with the obligatory bragging rights, by entering Orrcon Steel’s V8 Tipping competition.
Here’s how it works:
After selecting the tipping competition button you will be directed to another screen where you register your details. (your log in is case sensitive)
To choose or edit your team, click the “make trade” link on your Team page for the appropriate driver grouping (A, B, C, D or E List). You must choose a five-person squad that includes one member from each list.
The deadline to make team changes each race is 5:00pm EST on the Friday night of the race weekend (Thursday for the round in Abu Dhabi) If you don’t make any changes by this deadline, your team will remain as per your previous rounds selection.
As is the case in the V8 Supercar championship the winning driver of the race getting the maximum 150, and other drivers receiving fewer points for every spot they finish behind the leader.
These points are based on the finishing position of the car number at each race.
The team who has recorded the highest number of points at the end of the Championship.
In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the fantasy team who had the most event wins with their selected drivers will be crowned Orrcon Steel V8 Supercar Tipping Champion for 2011.

CHAMPIONSHIP PRIZES
1st Prize – Dinner with Mark Winterbottom and four of your mates at a selected venue in your home city along with $250 of Orrcon Steel Racing merchandise
2nd Prize – $200 of Orrcon Steel Racing merchandise, two General Admission tickets to your closest V8 Supercar event including a meet & greet with Mark Winterbottom
3rd Prize – $150 of Orrcon Steel Racing merchandise
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
There will be a maximum of 1,000 entries in the competition based on a first come, first served basis.
To be eligible to win prizes participants in this competition must be a customer or staff member of Orrcon Steel or the Hills Group of Companies.
Only one registration is permitted per person. If you cease employment with Orrcon Steel or cease being a customer you may be deemed ineligible to receive prizes.
Members of staff and customers families are ineligible for prizes.
Residents of the Australian Captial Territory (ACT) are ineligible to register for the competition.
Orrcon Steel reserves the rights to cancel the registration of any ineligible entrants.
